Himalayan Whitehouse College, Putalisadak today organized an Orientation Program for the newly admitted students of BE Civil, B-Tech in Biotechnology / BIT in a special ceremony. The event was attended by newly arrived students, college officials, teachers and professors, and staff.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of the College Steering Committee Er. Laxman Pokharel highlighted the importance of engineering education and said that the college was committed to providing quality engineering education to students. He also claimed that there are rumors that engineers are unemployed and that engineering education in Nepal is superior to other countries.
The principal of the college Toyanarayan Poudel said that hard work and discipline are desirable for the students and they should start building the society and country after acquiring a quality education.
In the program, Pvt. Dr. Giving an inspiring presentation, Bishnu Prasad Pandey said that nothing is impossible if one is diligent. He emphasized the need for an engineer to be as honest and ethical as possible. He stressed the need to contribute to nation-building by acquiring good knowledge and skills while studying as it is a privilege for the students to study in an institution like Himalayan Whitehouse.
Prof. Dr. Suvarna Shakya of TU Institute of Engineering (TU IOE) gave a presentation on Information Technology and Dr. Sameer Mani Dixit gave a presentation on B-Tech Biotechnology.
The participants were welcomed by the Vice Principal of the College Dr. Alka Sapkota while Prof. Dr. Vishnu Prasad Pandey and Dr. Sameer Mani Dixit inaugurated the program. The program was chaired by Er. Shiva Prasad Poudel, Managing Director of the College, and conducted by Narayan Acharya, Chief Administrative Officer of the same College.
Himalayan Whitehouse College, Putalisadak, Eastern University is considered to be one of the best colleges in Nepal. The college offers BBA, BHM, B.E. Civil, B.Tech in Biotechnology, and BIT programs are being conducted while MBA and EMBA programs are being conducted at the postgraduate level.
