Happy Guru Purnima 2020:
Guru Purnima is being celebrated on the day of Asar Shukla Purnima by paying homage to the teachers who donate scriptural mantras, teachers who impart training in education, art, literature, skills, and technology. Since Guru Vedavyas was born on this day, Vedavyas Jayanti is celebrated.
In mythological literature, Vyas Jayanti is explained, just as in Tantra, the forms of Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwar are considered as gurus. The temple of Guru Dakshinamurti of Pashupatinath is open to the public on this day of the year.
There is a tradition of celebrating Guru Purni by offering worship and giving flowers and gifts in honor of the Guru who takes oneself from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge.
The birth anniversary of Veda Vyas, the author of Vedas, Mahabharata, Srimadbhagavata, Athar Purana, Upa Purana, etc., has been celebrated as Gurupurnima since time immemorial.
Towards the end of the Dvaparayuga, Vyas was born on this day as the son of sage Parasar and Majhiputri Matsyagandha. Since the four Vedas, Mahabharata, Srimadbhagavata, Athar Purana, and Upa Purana have been edited on this day and given to his disciples, it has been a tradition to celebrate this day as Gurupurnima.
Today is also considered as Dharmachakra Enforcement Day. Gautama Buddha gave the first sermon of his knowledge today.
On this day of Gurupurnima, the birth anniversary of Bedavas, the author of the famous Hindu religious book Bed and Purana, is also celebrated. Today is also a special day for the students studying in the school.
They are celebrated on Gurupurni out of respect for the teachers who teach them. Today, students, artists, players, etc. also remember their teacher.
The whole person who teaches life skills is the teacher of everyone. Everyone who learns to work should respect the teacher properly. Everyone's first teacher is their parents.
Everyone should respect their parents as their first teacher. And the significance of Guru Puja is reflected in following the instructions given by the Guru.
