Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Poudel has said that preparations are being made to bring Federal Education Act from Fast Track.
This information was given by Minister Poudel at a meeting of the Education and Health Committee under the House of Representatives on Thursday. He also requested the members of the committee to provide positive assistance to the ministry in bringing the act.
Minister Poudel said that the failure to bring the Federal Education Act, Technical and Vocational Education Act and Higher Education Act is having a negative impact on education. The ministry is engaged in serious discussions on how to bring these acts quickly. ”
Continuing the work done by the former education ministers, he said that discussions are being held with the stakeholders on the issue of the Act. He also clarified that the pressure of other people would not be acceptable except for the stakeholders and experts.
At the meeting, former education minister Giriraj Mani Pokharel said that the work done in the past for the betterment of education should also be accepted. Committee members Khagraj Adhikari, Anjana Bisunkhe and others suggested linking traditional education with technology. Committee member Bidya Bhattarai said that the technical stream (9-10) should be made effective by organizing it.
