Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Devendra Poudel has said that the government will establish one medical college in each province.
In a discussion with the teacher leaders of Bharatpur metropolis here today, Minister Poudel said that Rs. 98 billion is going out of Nepal for medical education; He said that they are working for the establishment of one government medical college in each province for an environment where medical education can be read easily in the country.
He said that preparations are underway to set up a research center in the same province. Stating that he has proposed to the Council of Ministers to set up a large residential college in the province, he said that a municipality, a technical school would be set up based on the needs of municipalities across the country, and the curriculum would be prepared according to geography.
He argues that the province should manage the technical manpower in such a way as to create the required manpower. He claimed that he had been very active in law-making since he became a minister and had done a lot of work in educational development. He said that private school teachers would also be able to get treatment at the upcoming Teachers' Hospital in Chitwan.
He said that even though he was a teacher in a private school, he had worked for the educational development of the country so that he could get treatment there.
