Govt Allowed to Conduct Exam of Universities, Colleges, and Schools:

Postponed school and university level examinations will now be conducted in full swing. After the government has opened the way for conducting postponed examinations of educational institutions, the way is now open for students to have postponed examinations. The meeting of the Council of Ministers on the recommendation of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology has paved the way for conducting examinations for schools, universities, and educational institutions.

Joint Secretary and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, Deepak Sharma, informed that the way has been opened for conducting postponed examinations of universities, schools, and commissions. With this decision of the government, educational institutions and related bodies will now be able to take exams in the physical presence of students. Earlier, the government had not paved the way for examinations to be conducted in physical presence. The ministry had recommended to the government to pave the way for conducting the examination in compliance with health and safety standards.

Class 12 Exam Decision to be made within a week: Meanwhile, a decision will be taken within a year on the postponed examination of class 12, which has been in confusion for a long time. Although this decision of the government has paved the way for conducting class 12 examination, the method of conducting the examination is yet to be decided, said Education Spokesperson Sharma.

The government has finalized the results of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) and paved the way for the school to study in the upper class while the Coronavirus infection is still going on. It has been decided that the examination of class 11 can be done by the school and it has been handed over to the concerned school.

Spokesperson Sharma informed that some policy issues regarding class 12 are yet to be decided. As many students will take part in the exam, it will take some time to decide. More than four lakh students will participate in the class-12 examination. The government had postponed the Class 12 examination scheduled to be conducted in April after the coronavirus infection.

This decision of the government has paved the way for all the universities to conduct their examinations. Tribhuvan University, which has a large number of students studying in higher education, has already made a policy decision to conduct the postponed examination from next November. The university has a schedule to take the exam for the undergraduate and postgraduate students after taking the postponed exam in November.

Lumbini, Midwestern University, Nepal Sanskrit University, and others have put forward their examination schedules. The spokesperson of the Ministry of Education Sharma said that the government has paved the way for the university to conduct its examinations independently. In addition, the Council of Ministers has decided to allow vocational training providers to conduct short-term training for up to 25 participants.

Compliance with Compulsory Standards: Even though the government has paved the way for conducting postponed examinations, the concerned institutions have to comply with the standards related to health and safety as prescribed by the government while conducting the examinations of students.
