Govt Allocated Separate Budget for CEDA, CNAS, RECAST, and CERID: The research centers of Tribhuvan University will be able to focus on new research from the new fiscal year. Research centers, as well as university professors, are now being able to be active in research. This situation has arisen after the government ensured separate budgets for the research of four research centers (CEDA, CNAS, RECAST, and CERID) of the Tribhuvan University through the budget program of the new fiscal year.

Welcoming the decision of the government, the head of education of the university Prof. Shivlal Bhusal informed that the research centers will now focus on various types of research.

He said that their main goal is to strengthen the state in research by activating research centers and professors. Tribhuvan University has four research centers and 40 research centers, including the Center for Economic Development and Administration Research (CEDA), Center for Nepal and Asian Studies (CNAS), Research Center for Applied Science and Technology (RECAST), and Research Center for Educational Innovation and Development (CERID). There are central departments.

In the budget made public by the government on May 29 for the new fiscal year, commitment has been made to make university education based on research. Under this, the necessary budget has been allocated to develop Tribhuvan Research Centers CEDA, CNAS, RECAST, and CERID as leading research institutes.

Bhusal says that no matter how much they try to focus on research, there will be no problem as they have the necessary skilled manpower and infrastructure. TU plans to move research centers forward in a new way once the budget for the university is finalized. Earlier, TU officials had requested the government to hand over the responsibility of research to the university.

Despite the government's commitment to give the budget this time, it is yet to be ascertained how much budget will be given and whether the budget will come through the University Research Commission or will be received directly at the university, said Bhusal.

The University Research Commission had provided a budget of Rs. 900,000 to Trivandrum for the purpose of conducting research only for the current financial year. The budget provided by the commission has been spent for research purposes.
