Government Extended the Deadline for Taxpayers to Pay Taxes Until Ashad 15:

The government has extended the deadline for taxpayers to pay taxes. The Inland Revenue Department issued a notice on Wednesday asking them to pay the tax by Ashad 15. Taxpayers had protested on Tuesday after the department issued a notice demanding payment of taxes by May. They were outraged that the government did not allow them to pay taxes.

According to the new information, the taxpayer will have to pay the second installment of income tax by Ashad 15. In case of value-added tax, the monthly tax returns for the month of Falgun, Chaitra, 2076 and 2077 Baishakh, the bi-monthly and second four-month period of Magh-Falgun, Chaitra and 2077 Baishakh and the deadline for filing tax according to those details is 7th of Ashad.

If the period for filing tax refund for VAT refund expires at the time of lockdown, it has to be submitted by Ashad 7. Falgun, Chaitra, and Baishakh are the details to be submitted for the month and the deadline for filing excise duty according to those details is till 7th of Ashad.

The deadline for submission of details of advance tax deduction and advance tax collection for the month of Falgun, Chaitra, and Baishakh and the deadline for filing tax according to those details is 7th of Ashad.

Falgun, Chaitra, and Baishakh also have till Ashad 7 to pay an education service fee, telephone ownership fee, and telecommunication service fee.
