The government has decided that the public holidays on the Gaijatra and Shrikrishna Janmashtami. Similarly, the government has promoted Dilliram Sharma to the post of secretary. According to Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, spokesperson of the government and Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, a public holiday has been decided for the Newar community in Kathmandu Valley and across the country on the occasion of Gaijatra on Monday the 7th of Bhadra.
Similarly, it has been decided to give a public holiday across the country on the day of Shrikrishna Janmashtami on Bhadra 14th. Spokesperson Karki informed that the resignation of the executive chairman of Nepal Television Mahendra Bista has been accepted with effect from the 22nd of Shrawan.
