Kathmandu, June 8: Minister for Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, Chakrapani Khanal, has urged students to give up the mentality of going abroad after graduation.
In his address to a programme organised by the Thapathali Engineering Campus to welcome newcomers and bid a farewell to (old) graduates, the Minister advised students and new generations to seek a career in agriculture as well. Investment in agricultural sector would help strengthen nation's economy. He claimed that toil that Nepalese did in foreign land would pay them better if it was done within the country.
He took the time to urge new generations to develop a business plan linking agriculture to tourism, organic farming and hydro-power, giving his words to provide them loan at minimum interest rate in such cases. (RSS)
