Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that the Geta Medical College in Kailali will soon be upgraded to a medical university.
Addressing the fifth convocation ceremony of Far Western University (FWU) on Sunday, Chancellor Oli mentioned that Geta Medical College will be upgraded to a medical university.
"I have been raising the point since earlier that Geta Medical College should be made a national medical university," said Prime Minister Oli, "This is a matter of happiness. There isn't any medical university in any region of Nepal, and now one will be established here."
In the program, at the fifth convocation ceremony of Far Western University (FWU), three hundred and seventy-two students graduated. Those students who obtained bachelor's and master's degrees from the university in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences, Education, Management, Engineering, and Agricultural Science were graduated.
Professor Dr. Satpal Singh, Chancellor of Soban Singh Jeena University of Uttarakhand, India, was the guest at the convocation ceremony.
