"Gandaki University is Golden Egg-laying Hen" - CM Prithvi Subba Gurung
Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung on Thursday responded to a question raised during the ministerial discussion on the Appropriation Bill in the Gandaki Pradesh Sabha.

For that work, we have opened the Development Authority to play a coordinating role for public-private partnerships and for projects to be implemented in partnership with the states. The authority also selects the project. This authority effectively monitors and regulates the project.
NEA has a special role to expand the scope of foreign investment and private investment in the state. The establishment of NEA does not duplicate the work being done by the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development. We have categorized the work to be done by NEA. The more the authority spends, the more benefits it gives. The Authority prepares the specialized project bank.
Investment conferences are not for the faint of heart. It is not a matter of bringing in foreigners and making jamborees. We have not held an investment conference as we are not in a position to say that these are the areas of investment. NEA also prepares for that.
We have opened the university with a lot of thought. Gandaki University is to be made the best among the universities of the country. This year, studies will start in two subjects. The School of Medical Sciences and Information Technology.
If the university starts a teaching hospital, our income will be around Rs 880 million. 500 million will be spent and the remaining 380 million will be profit.
