English Version of Nepal Map Approved:
The updated (political/administrative) English version of the map of Nepal has been approved. The map was approved by the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation on Friday. Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Padmakumari Aryal approved the English version of the map of Nepal prepared by the Department of Survey. The Department of Surveying and Mapping had decided in the Map Committee and submitted it to the Ministry for approval.
Nepal had published an updated map of Nepal in the Gazette last May, including Nepali lands including Limpiyadhura, Lipulek, and Kalapani. The English version of the map has been published stating that it is necessary to provide information about the changing map of Nepal in the world, the ministry said. Minister Padmakumari Aryal informed that the way has been opened to send the map of the English version to the United Nations, diplomatic missions, and the entire international community.
