Driving License Retrial Terms Valid for 18 Months:
The Department of Transportation Management, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport has changed the time limit for appearing in the re-trial examination only three times within 90 days of passing the written examination on Sunday. Those who pass the written test of driver's license will now be able to take the trial test for 18 months.
According to Dr. Loknath Bhusal, director of the department, the 90-day period has been extended to 18 months by amending the Transport Management Procedure Guideline, 2060 BS.
There is a provision to pay the revenue within one year of passing the practical examination (trial) of the driver's license, to be included in the written or experimental examination after paying the revenue, and to be included in the re-trial examination three times within 90 days.
At present, the provision has been amended in the Transport Management Procedure Guideline, 2060 BS to maintain the term of 18 months, 'said Director Bhusal.
According to Bhusal, the department has also updated the electronic driving license and vehicle registration process.
