BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) has appointed Prof. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma of the Department of Internal Medicine as Rector.
Similarly, Prof. Dr. Nilambar Jha of the School of Public Health and Community Medicine and Dr. Narayanraj Bhattarai, Head of the Department of Microbiology, has been appointed as members of the Board of Directors.
Prof. Dr. Sharma has been appointed to fill the vacant position after the tenure of the then Headmaster Prof. Dr. Guru Prasad Khanal ended on October 12th.
He was appointed for a five-year term by Honorable Minister of Health Bhawani Prasad Khapung, Vice-Chancellor of the Institute, on the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor of the Institute, Dr. Gyanendra Giri, according to the Act of the Institute.
Likewise, Prof. Dr. Jha and Dr. Bhattarai have been nominated as members of the Board of Directors. Dr. Chudamani Pokharel, co-spokesperson of the foundation, said that their term will be for 4 years.
