Dr. Duk Bahadur Chhetri Appointed as the VC of Pokhara Academy Of Health Science:

Dr. Duk Bahadur Chhetri has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday appointed Chhetri as the vice-chancellor of the foundation. The Prime Minister appointed the recommendation made by the recommendation committee formed under the coordination of the Vice-Chancellor and Minister for Health and Population Hridayesh Tripathi. The recommendation committee had recommended the name of Chhetri at number one.

Prof. Dr. Shrikrishna Shrestha's name was recommended at No. 2 and Prof. Dr. Bharat Bahadur Karki's at No. 3. The tenure of Dr. Buddhi Bahadur Thapa, the Chancellor of Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences, ended on 28 February 2021. Dr. Duk Bahadur Chhetri was working at the Western Regional Hospital for a long time. He is currently the chairman of the Pokhara Health Science Academy's vacancy committee. Chhetri, who was transferred from the Western Hospital as the 11th level chief pathologist, had retired four years ago.
