A silver coin depicting the picture of a century-old man, Satyam Mohan Joshi, has been released. The coins of two thousand five hundred, one thousand and one hundred rupees coins have the picture of Joshi on one side and Everest on the other.
Finance Minister Dr. Yuvraj Khatiwada made the coin public at a program organized by Lalitpur Municipal Corporation on Tuesday. Minister Dr. Khatiwada said, “After a hundred years is considered as a heritage, Satyam Mohan is a living heritage. Are living in history.
Minister Dr. Khatiwada said that the cultural dramatist Joshi has been contributing for a long time to the Nation Bank's notes and coins. MP Pampha Bhushan, Lalitpur Municipal Corporation Chief Chirababu Maharjan, Deputy Chief Geeta Satyal, Rastra Bank Spokeswoman Laxmi Prapan Niraula discussed the issue of coinage and Satyamohan Joshi's contribution.
According to Thaneshwar Acharya, chief of the Nepal Rastra Bank Monetary Management Department, Tuxar Division, informed that the coins bearing the picture of Joshi had been disposed of the rate of 2500, Rs. 1000 and 1,00 Rupees, a total of 10 thousand units. In the history of Nepal's coinage, coins have often been depicted as a king's picture or as a reminder of wildlife, cultural and natural heritage or special days.
Joshi's coin was disposed of as the third person after Bhanubhakta Acharya, the celebrated leader Ganesh Man, in the series of coinage. Earlier, 20 grams of silver coins bearing the image of a century-old man, Satyamohan Joshi, were also made public by Nhuj Guthi. Likewise, the Rastra Bank had issued a silver coin worth Rs. 2500.
On one side of the coin was a picture of Ganesh Man Singh and on the other was a picture of Everest. The Nation Bank has started issuing commemorative coins with regular coins from 1984 AD onwards. Silver Jubilee coinage was started in 2041 by the Auditor General of Rajasthan Rajan Jayanti.
