Class 12 Exam Model: 40 Marks Old Model Question Paper and 1.5 Hours Duration:
Even if the question papers are prepared in the old model in the class-12 examination, the time and marks weightage of the questions will be reduced. Following the previous year's model, the Examination Control Office is preparing to ask questions in a way that can be solved in an hour and a half.
The National Examination Board (NEB) is conducting the examination only for the evaluation of 40 percent of the theoretical examination marks. The results of class 11 will be used as the basis for the remaining 40 percent assessment. And, 20 percent internal assessment is mentioned in the working procedure. For example, if there is a subject of 80 Full Marks, then only 40 percent of it, i.e. for 32 Marks, the examination will be taken. Theoretical and practical scores vary by subject.
Even though the question papers are in the old model, the number of questions will be reduced, said Krishna Prasad Sharma, Controller of Examinations of the Board. ‘Question groups are the same as in the past, only the marks weightage decreases. However, since questions are asked to cover all the courses, students should study all the units, 'he said. He informed that the model questions on the main topics will be prepared and posted on the website of the board in 1-2 days.
In the previous year, three questions were allowed to be solved by asking four questions in Group A on the subject of 80 marks, but now only one solution is being allowed. Questions are being prepared in the same style as in the past when there were groups or questions that were asked with long or short answers. However, the number of questions will decrease.
There is an arrangement to keep the students at a distance of at least two meters in the examination hall. If someone has a cold or fever, they will be examined separately. No matter how big the hall is, it will not be possible to accommodate more than 20 students. The use of health equipment including masks has been made mandatory in the examination centers. There will be less than 10 candidates in 138 out of 4105 examination centers across the country. According to the Examination Control Office, there are many centers with less than 50 candidates.
Examination centers have been designated in all the schools that have filled up the Class-12 forms. Accordingly, four thousand one hundred and five examination centers have been established across the country. If it is not possible for the student to go to the school where he/she is studying, arrangements have been made to take the exam at the nearest school where the student is currently studying. In Kathmandu Valley, the examinees will have to go to the concerned school to take the exam. The board has made the admission card mandatory for the examination. There are four lakh 33 thousand six hundred examinees in class-12.
