The Chinese government provided both financial and technical support for the construction of Ratna Rajya Secondary School located in Jugal Rural Municipality-5, Chanaute, Sindhupalchok District. The school now consists of six modern buildings which have been built with an investment of over one billion rupees. Prior to the construction, students had to study on the roof of the school, but now they have access to a state-of-the-art building.
Currently, 425 children from Jugal Rural Municipality are studying at the school. Previously, 60 percent of students in classes 8 to 12 had to rent rooms, but with the construction of an 84-room dormitory in the school, the need for external accommodations has been eliminated. This was particularly beneficial for Dalit students who faced difficulties finding appropriate housing. The school includes 24 classrooms, 22 rooms for school administration, and facilities such as a library, science lab, and 50 computers.
