Chinese Company Donates 2,000 Test Kits to Nepal to Fight Coronavirus:
China's Beijing Multiple Trade and Commerce Bureau has provided the kits required for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) test to the Government of Nepal.
The bureau handed over 2,000 kits Wednesday through the Nepalese Embassy in Beijing to fight the Coronavirus.
Bureau's International Investment and Cooperation Consulting Services Company Private Limited, which operates in Kathmandu, said the kit was made available due to a lack of adequate testing for Corona.
"Kit support is a spirit of brotherhood between Nepal and China," company president Hari Prasad Dhungana told APD News.
According to the Nepalese Embassy in Beijing, the gift kit will be delivered to Tibet on Thursday. From there, preparations are underway to bring Kathmandu through the site.
The gift kit provided to the government is worth the US $ 30,000, and it can test 2,000 people, APD News said.
The kit is considered essential for coronavirus testing. However, the corona has not been accessible since it has spread to more than 197 countries worldwide. Minister of Health and Population Bhanubhakta Dhakal said only on Wednesday that the Nepal government was mobilizing for lack of sufficient kits. Minister Dhakal had said that essential health goods would be brought from China within three days. Hu Yanchi, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, tweeted that China was with Nepal.
Due to lack of kit, the National Laboratory in Teku has been able to test only 687 samples from January till now. Three of these reports have been positive. Of the infected, 1 have returned home from recovery and 2 are being treated.
