Chandragiri Municipality Sealed till Midnight of Jestha 8, 2078:
Chandragiri municipality of Kathmandu will be sealed for two more days. According to the decision of the meeting held on Baishakh 29 at Chandragiri, the main entry point of Kathmandu Valley, it was decided to lockdown from Jeshta 1 to 7. It has been decided to sealed it again for two days (till Midnight on Jeshtha 8).
The chief of the municipality informed that they have decided to shut down the municipality till midnight on May 22 (Jestha 8). As soon as the municipality is sealed, walking on public roads is completely banned from 6 am to 5 pm.
Services other than essential services of pharmacies and health institutions have been shut down for the prevention and control of Covid-19 infection with new variants.
Drinking water, means of transportation, milk production and means of transportation of milk produced by the dairy industry have been allowed to operate in compliance with health safety standards. Likewise, the municipality has informed that the vehicles carrying garbage including livestock seeds, agricultural seeds, agricultural products, the pharmaceutical industry will be allowed to operate following the health standards for the rest period.
Security has been tightened at Nagdhunga, the main entry point to the valley after the municipality was shut down. Except for urgent vehicles, ambulances, and food transport vehicles, work has been done to divert them from the entrance.
The municipality has not obstructed the circulation to administer the second dose of the Verosil vaccine. According to the information issued by the government, the first vaccination card will be shown to the designated vaccination center.
