Government of Nepal's CEHRD Notice on Teachers' Technical Grade and Financial Liability

The Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD) of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology in Nepal has issued a notice regarding the preparation of district-wise numerical details of teachers who did not receive technical grades and their estimated financial liability.

The notice is in response to the Honorable Supreme Court's writ no. 073-WO-0742 dated 2076/01/15 and the ministerial decision of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology dated 06/12/2079.

The details of teachers who received permanent appointment at one level and obtained technical grade before 2057/04/01, and later received permanent appointment at another level through open advertisement competition from 2071/04/01 onwards, as well as working or retired teachers who have not received technical grade, should be prepared.

The school should prepare the details of the discount amount for grades and submit a certified integrated municipal statement according to the attached format to the teacher management coordination branch of CEHRD within 60 (sixty) days from the date of publication of the notice, in both hard copy and soft copy.

CEHRD has requested all local levels, education development and coordination units, community schools, and concerned teachers to submit the details as per the decision dated 2079/12/15.

In case of a difference in grade rate due to salary increase, the school should open the amount in a separate ROW according to the grade rate and not mention the lump sum amount.

The notice is significant for teachers in Nepal who have not received technical grades and serves as a call to action to submit their details within the specified time frame.
