Bishwaprem Adhikari Awarded by Jyagdi Khola Sahitya Pratishthan, Syangja:
Jyagdi Khola Sahitya Pratisthan, Syangja has given the literary award of 2077 BS to Bishwaprem Adhikari this year. The foundation conferred the honor on Saturday.
Adhikari has made significant contributions in the field of poetry, Ghazals, essays, stories, and folklore. He has published dozens of works and made significant contributions in the field of literary composition and editing.
The 'Jyagdi Khola Literary-Art Award' has been given with the objective of honoring the creator who has made a special contribution by cultivating literature, music, and art in the Gandaki region.
The talent selection committee comprising poet Chintu Giri, coordinator and creators Narayan Marasini, and Sundar Manandhar has decided to honor Adhikari this time. Born in 2003 BS at Putlibazar-3, Rangkhola, Syangja, Adhikari is active not only in literary writing but also in the field of editing. Adhikari is also the president of Syangjali Sahitya Pratisthan.
A book titled 'Wave of Jyagdi Khola' was also unveiled at the event. While inaugurating the work, Seema Kumari Chhetri, Chief of Putlibazar Municipality, expressed the view that the flourishing of literature would also benefit the society as it is a mirror of the literary society. Respected personality Bishwaprem Adhikari expressed the view that the award has added responsibility to him. Expressing the view that she has spent her entire life in the upliftment of literature and culture, she said that literature should not be neglected by society and the nation.
Representatives of various literary associations, intellectuals, and social personalities were present in the program. Literary writers Chintu Giri, Lekhnath Kafle, Narayan Marasini, Rabin KC, Lokraj Sharma, Sirjana Dhakal, Sita Nepal, Pramod Panjnani, Arjun Lamsal, Ananta Kumar Shrestha, and others were present in the program. Similarly, Himalaya Jung Bania, Chudamani Regmi, Nawaraj Subedi, Baburam Sigdel, Yuvraj Poudel, Ashok Sharma, and Bhishma Upreti participated in the program.
Commentator Bhim Ranabhat commented on the composition of 'Jyagdi Khola ko Tarang'. The creators also recited their works in the program. Speaking on the occasion, Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Syangja President Om Prakash Sharma said that the state should pay special attention to the protection of newspapers and media. Chairman of the Jyagdi Khola Literary Foundation, Devendra Lamsal, said that the literary environment has not been created in the country as the society has not yet understood the role of art and literature.
