Bhrikuti Secondary School, located in Buddhabhumi Municipality-4, Buddhi, Kapilvastu, has been promoting agricultural practice along with traditional studies. The school started implementing this approach in 2073 and has since then, been providing practical agricultural exercises to its students.
Modernizing Fish and Agricultural Production:
The school's principal, Bed Prakash Bhusal, believes that by providing practical exercises on two bigha land, the school aims to modernize fish and agricultural production. Students are given practical exercises in various fields such as lentil crop, cash crop, vegetable cultivation, berna nursery, and hay harvesting.
Increasing Student Interest in Agricultural Studies:
The school's coordinator of the agricultural field, Ramesh Tripathi, has stated that the students' interest in agricultural studies is increasing. The school is attracting students from neighboring districts such as Rupandehi, Banke, and Bardia. Currently, 112 students are enrolled in classes 9 to 12.
Residential Arrangement for Non-Local Students:
After the school arranged a residential house, many students from outside districts started attending the school. This arrangement has benefited both the students and the school.
