Australian Harbor International College Provides Funding Support to Nepal Amidst of Covid-19:
The Australian Harbor International College will provide Rs 200,000 in the first phase of funding for health supplies and oxygen in the current second wave of coronavirus epidemics. Matrika Bimoli and Suman Bhetwal, both Australian businessmen of Nepali origin who were born in Jhapa, have agreed to provide Rs 200,000 for the purchase of Covid health items and oxygen.
The Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) has approved NAPS College to conduct undergraduate studies, which has been invested by Bimoli and Bhetwal, who have been living in Australia for the past 25 years.
Succeeding in winning the hearts of Nepali students and international students by providing various courses to more than a thousand Nepali students, Harbor College has not only provided quality education and extra support to students in Australia but has also been helpful in times of sorrow and happiness in Nepal.
Matrika Bimoli, director of the Australian Harbor International College, said: "When one Nepali is in trouble, another Nepali cannot sit idly by. At this time, Nepali living abroad have to unite and fight this epidemic."
Mukesh Dhamla, market manager of the college, said that financial assistance has been allocated for the purchase of health items and oxygen in coordination with the Nepal Educational Counseling Association (ECAN) Jhapa Center.
"The financial support provided by Harbor College to the branch office in Jhapa to set up an Oxygen Bank to deal with the current crisis will alleviate the crisis," said Shesh Raj Bhattarai, Central Vice President of ECAN.
Director of Harbor College, Suman Bhetwal, who also runs a law business along with an educational institution, said that talks are underway with the Nepali community in Australia for help. "Even in the first Kovid wave, we funded the National Discovery Center for PPE construction," he said.
Not only that, Australian Harbor International College has made itself active in many activities including scholarships for poor and needy children, parallel campaigns of educational counseling organizations.
