Anbukhaireni Rural Municipality in Tanahun has taken a significant step towards improving the standard of public schools in the area. The village executive has decided that the children of public representatives will be educated in public schools to boost their educational level. This move is expected to set an example for others and motivate them to do the same.
The decision was made during a meeting on Sunday, and it will be effective from the next academic session. The rural municipality has 32 people's representatives, and they will now have to send their children to public schools. This will help in promoting public schools and creating a sense of equality among the students.
Anbukhaireni Rural Municipality has 35 community schools across six wards, with approximately 4,500 students studying in them. The chairman of the municipality, Shukar Chuman, said that the quality of community schools needs to be improved. "We say in speeches that the standard of community schools should be improved, but we do not put them into practice. Now we have made a rule that the children of public representatives must be educated in community schools," he said.
Furthermore, the rural municipality has taken another step towards improving the educational facilities by preparing to distribute subsidized buses to public schools. President Chuman said that the first phase would involve handing over buses to three to five schools.
Moreover, to provide better infrastructure for education, the school in Ward 5 of Ambukhaireni Rural Municipality will be transferred to the Ward Building. The Indra Devi Basic School building in that ward is dilapidated, and the school will now be transferred to the ward office.
In conclusion, Anbukhaireni Rural Municipality has taken some commendable steps towards improving the educational facilities for its students. The decision to educate the children of public representatives in public schools and the distribution of subsidized buses will provide much-needed support to the public schools in the area. These initiatives are expected to create a positive impact and help in raising the standard of education in the long run.
