According to NEB, the number of those bringing GPA 3.61 to 4, i.e. 'A' plus grade, is 7,063. As the results are better than last year, NEB has stated that there will be zero GPA 4 this year. Covid-19 caused the school to take the exam last year.
The NEB had published the results after testing and examining the answer scripts. Last year GPA 4 was obtained by 48 students, but this year the board did the work from preparing the question paper to conducting the examination and publishing the results. This time GPA 4 did not get any student.
Most students have a GPA of 2.41 to 2.80, or B grade. There are 99,537 students in 'B' Grade. There are 48,239 students with ‘A’ grade i.e. GPA from 2.21 to 3.60. There are 70 thousand 1 students who bring GPA from 2.81 to 3.20.
Although the number of regular exminees this year is higher than last year, the number of students in 'A' plus grades is higher but the percentage is lower.
Last year, the number of students bringing 'A' plus grade was 2.22 percent, but this year that percentage has dropped to 2 percent. Last year, NEB had given the responsibility of conducting the examination to the school.
Many had passed in the upper grade last year. This year NEB has taken the entire responsibility of the examination and the result came in all the grades according to the ability of the students. The number of students in upper grades is low this year. Similarly, according to the results made public by the board, there are 75,088 students with GPA 2.0 to 2.40 ('C' + grade) and 24,515 students with GPA 1.61 to 2 ('C' grade). .
Academics point out that although the results are good, the students lack the ability to write psychologically and analytically. He concludes that the current style of questioning will pass as many students as possible but will kill the creative ability of the students as the students have less ability to analyze and write.
On the one hand, objective questions have done well for many students, while on the other hand, students have reduced their ability to analyze, compare, and write creative answers using their intellect, and that is not a good sign for the education sector.
According to the board, this year, there are 3,875 students bringing 'D' plus i.e. GPA 1.21 to 1.60 and 296 students bringing 'D' or GPA 0.81 to 1.20 GPA. There are 10,073 students who bring ‘E’ i.e. the weakest GPA from 0.00 to 0.80.
