The government has been recommended reopening the closed schools and colleges to prevent and control the transmission of the third wave of corona omicron.
A meeting of the Covid-19 Crisis Management Coordination Center (CCMCC) held on Sunday decided to allow the operation of the closed schools and colleges from February 13 (Falgun 1), said CCMCC spokesperson Sunita Nepal.
The school will be reopened on February 13. To conduct regular classes for children above 12 years of age after opening the school. ' She said, "It has been recommended to conduct classes on alternate days for children below 12 years of age."
A meeting of the CCMCC held on January 9 had recommended that the school be closed till January 29, as the third wave of corona omicron infection was on the rise.
Schools have been closed since the first week of January due to the third wave of Covid.
In the first phase, it was decided to close the school till January 29. After that, the government had decided to close the school till mid-February on the recommendation of CCMCC.
Similarly, the CCMCC has also recommended the removal of the Odd Even system in private vehicles and taxis in the Kathmandu Valley.
Stating that the corona infection rate is declining, today's meeting of the CCMCC recommended to the Ministry of Home Affairs to remove the force, said spokesperson Nepal. Currently, the enforcement system is applied to private vehicles and taxis.
He also said that the CCMCC has recommended operating night businesses including dance bars, rehearsals, dance halls, clubs, cinema halls, gym houses from February 13 to 10 pm.
