Aambukhaireni Rural Municipality has decided to provide free treatment to students of schools within the municipality at Aambukhaireni Hospital. The Education Committee of the municipality made the decision that any student from within the municipality who falls ill will receive all types of treatment at Aambukhaireni Hospital free of cost.

Chairperson of the rural municipality, Shukra Chuman, informed that students from both private and community schools will receive free treatment at the hospital. He stated, “This decision has been made in the interest of the students. However, it will not be applicable to treatments at hospitals outside this facility.”

The Education Committee also decided that private and community schools will not charge re-admission or annual fees. Chuman shared that this decision was made during a meeting that included representatives from private schools. He added that the municipality took interest in the issue after receiving complaints that some schools were charging money under the name of admission fees.

Aambukhaireni Health Post, previously functioning as a health post, was upgraded to a hospital on the 1st of Mangsir, 2079 B.S. Following the upgrade, a 15-bed hospital is currently in operation. In addition to residents of Aambukhaireni in Tanahun, the hospital also provides services to people from Bandipur of the same district, Palungtar and Shahid Lakhan of Gorkha, and Ichchhakamana of Chitwan.

The rural municipality is running an educational improvement campaign. Chairperson Chuman said, “We are moving ahead with plans to improve all community schools located in the wards of the municipality.” There are 35 community schools in the six wards of Aambukhaireni, with approximately 500 students enrolled.
