85,424 Examinees from Lumbini Province Participated in SEE 2079
On 2079 Chaitra 17 (31 March 2023), Friday, a total of 85,424 students from the Lumbini Province took part in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) of Nepal. This year's exam witnessed the participation of 80,165 students in the regular category, 2,957 students in the technical category, and 2,302 students in the grade increment category.
District-wise Participation in SEE
As per the information shared by Madhav Pokharel, Director's information officer, Lumbini Province Directorate of Education and Social Development, Rupandehi district had the highest participation with 18,783 students, whereas East Rukum had the lowest with only 1,988 students taking part in the exam. The other districts recorded the following numbers of participants:
- Dang: 13,448
- Banke: 8,886
- Kapilvastu: 8,699
- Bardia: 7,682
- West Nawalparasi: 6,662
- Palpa: 4,546
- Gulmi: 4,722
- Arghakhanchi: 3,275
- Rolpa: 451
- Pyuthan: 4,172
Efforts to Ensure Fair and Peaceful Exam
To conduct the SEE exam smoothly, the Provincial Directorate of Education and Social Development has assigned 334 center presidents and 577 assistant center presidents for the 334 examination centers across all 12 districts. Yam Bahadur KC, the director of the directorate, emphasized the importance of maintaining a dignified, disciplined, fearless, and peaceful environment during the examination.
