52 students from Manang to participate in SEE Exam

Manang, a remote district in Nepal, has reported a low number of students participating in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) of the academic session 2079. Matilal Chapai, Head of the Education Development and Coordination Unit, said that 31 female students and 23 male students will participate in the exam from Manang.

Designated Examination Centers

The SEE examination centers have been designated in three schools of the district, namely Lokpriya Secondary School in Chame, Prakashjyoti Secondary School in Thonche, and Annapurna Secondary School in Manang Ngisang. Nine female students and eight male students from Prakashjyoti, 17 female students and seven male students from Lokpriya, and three female students and two male students from Annapurna will take the exam.

Low Number of Examinees

According to Chapai, the number of students participating in the exam from Manang has decreased due to various calamities. However, the district offers elective subjects like technical, economics, and geography in the first part, while crop science, accounting, and education subjects are taught on the optional second side.

Six students from the open side have filled the form to take the exam in this academic session. However, one student each from Lokpriya SS and Prakashjyoti SS were absent during the registration process.

Overall, the number of students participating in the SEE examination from Manang is low, with only 52 students filling the registration form. The district faces various calamities, which has resulted in a decrease in the number of students. However, the students have the option to choose from a variety of elective and optional subjects.
