505 People Permitted to Climb 18 Mountains

A total of 505 people have taken permission to climb 18 mountains, including the world's highest peak, Mount Everest. According to the Department of Tourism, as of Friday, 204 people have taken permission to climb Mt. Everest, while the remaining 301 have taken permission to climb other mountains.

According to the department, 505 people from 61 groups have taken permission to climb 18 mountains. Of them, 116 are women and 389 are men. A total of 204 people, including 158 men and 46 women from 23 groups, have taken permission to climb Mt. Everest. According to the department, 19 people from 4 groups in Amadablum, 26 people from 4 groups in Annapurna 1, and 52 people from 6 groups in Lhotse have taken permission.

The government has received Rs 297.4 million in royalties from the Arohan team. In order to get permission to climb Mt. Everest, foreign nationals have to pay a royalty of 11,000 US dollars per person, while in the case of Nepalis, they have to pay a royalty of 75,000 Nepali rupees per person. The department has stated that there is an arrangement to form a group of up to 15 people for climbing Mt. Everest. The number of people coming to get permission for mountaineering is increasing.

Permitted climbers are on their way out for mountaineering. The department has stated that the decrease in mountaineering due to Kovid-19 for the last two years is on the rise this year.
