36 Individuals Honored for Excellence in Educational Development

The Social Development Division Office, Palpa, has honored 36 individuals for their outstanding contributions to the development of the education sector in Gulmi district.

The Social Development Division Office, Palpa, has stated that 19 teachers, eight school management committee officials, and nine school staff from 12 local levels of the district were honored with a cash prize of 5,000 rupees, a certificate of appreciation, and a shawl.

Office Chief Mitramani Gautam said that the honors were given based on recommendations from the local municipalities for their excellent performance. Gautam expressed confidence that the recognition would encourage and energize teachers, staff, and committee members. He also mentioned that programs are being conducted for educational development.

Sher Bahadur Kunwar from Lakshmipur Secondary School, Satyawati Rural Municipality-2, one of the honorees, expressed happiness over the office’s recognition and emphasized the need for all three tiers of government to work toward improving the educational quality of community schools in rural areas.

Durgabahadur Khadka, Chairman of the School Management Committee of Thanpati Basic School, Malika Rural Municipality-8, was also honored by the Social Development Division Office, Palpa. He stated that the recognition has provided energy to further concretize the campaign he has been running to improve community institutions.

While honoring various individuals, Drona Bahadur Khatri, Chief of the District Coordination Committee, Gulmi, said that education and health are the primary needs of the present time, requiring the attention of all three tiers of government. He expressed hope for even better results, noting that the office’s recognition of individuals working to improve community schools has also energized others.
