3 Lakh Applicants Applied for Online Driving License:

Applicants for driver's licenses will now get their turn only after July. About three lakh applicants have so far applied for the license, which was opened after 10 months due to the coronavirus epidemic.

Director-General of the Department of Transport Management Gogan Bahadur Hamal informed that the candidates will get their turn only after that as the date for giving exams has expired till July.

About three lakh people have applied so far, with the May-June exam deadline. Transportation offices have been conducting examinations and trials for licenses. The responsibility of the department is to open and print the license online form.

Licenses are distributed from 17 license offices across the country. License printing is done only at the office of the department at Min Bhawan in Kathmandu.

The department had opened the form in the quota system through an online license from the last 14 Poush. The quota system for the last time to fill out an online form for a license has been removed.

The arrangement has been made to fill the form through the website of the department www.onlineedlreg.dotm.gov.np. The department has stated that once the form is filled, if the exam is not held within the stipulated time, the form can be filled again after 15 days and if the exam fails, the form can be filled only after 90 days.
