One hundred five police officers have finished commando (police special skills and operations) training at the Nepal Police Tactics Training College in Jargaha, Nawalparasi West.
The tenth group of commando training saw 105 graduates. Six police inspectors, fifteen assistant police inspectors, and eighty-four police constables, totaling 105, finished the commando training, which is considered quite difficult, according to the Police Headquarters newsroom.
At the commando training graduation ceremony, Inspector General of Police Deepak Thapa presented awards to those who achieved top positions in various training disciplines, as well as letters of appreciation to the instructors and those who made significant contributions to the success of the training.
Thapa stated that completing this training, which is considered the most challenging among those conducted in the police force, is a significant achievement. He mentioned that the training has prepared competent personnel who can perform duties using specific strategies, knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to handle potential challenging activities encountered during police operations.
At the ceremony, trainees displayed obstacle course demonstrations, weapon assembly/disassembly demonstrations, sand model briefings, hostage rescue operation demonstrations, fire and move demonstrations under immediate action drills, hand-to-hand combat demonstrations, and explosive ordnance disposal demonstrations.
