Overview
Suryodaya Womi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (Nepali: सूर्याेदय वमी लघुवित्त वित्तिय संस्था लिमिटेड) was incorporated in 2012 AD (2068 BS), which is promoted by women. Suryodaya Womi is registered with the office of the Company Registrar under the Companies Act 2063. Nepal Rastra Bank has licensed WoMi as a Micro Financial institution (Class "D") under the Banks and Financial Institutions Act 2063.
Suryodaya Womi started its micro-financing services in 2012 (2068 BS). Suryodaya Womi can expand its service networking within 32 districts. They are Chitwan, Makawanpur, Kavrepalanchok, Palpa, Tanahu, Gorkha, Sindhuli, Okhaldhunga, Udaypur, Nawalparasi, Kaski, Syanja, Lamjung, Dhankuta, Nuwakot, Ilam, Terhathum, Bara, Parsa, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Mahottari, Dhanusa, Siraha, Saptari, Sunsari, Rasuwa, Rupandehi, Kapilbastu, Dang, Dhanding and Banke.
The central office of WoMi is centrally located at Bharatpur-12, Aastha Chowk, Chitwan, Nepal. Suryodaya Womi would follow the characteristics of the “Grameen” model but would slightly vary from the traditional ones. However, the institution will always follow the regulatory norms of Nepal Rastra Bank. Becoming more practical and competitive it would follow always profitable and viable models for the sustainability of the institution.
