Overview
Vyas Municipality (व्यास नगरपालिका, तनहुँ) was established in 1991 (2048 BS) as a local government of Nepal. The headquarters of this Nagarpalika is located in Damauli, Tanahu district, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Vyas is an urban municipality and also known as Nagarpalika in the Nepali Language.
The distance of this municipality is 150 km from Capital city Kathmandu and 50 km from the Tourist City Pokhara. This municipality located in the East Highway and also the district Headquarters (Damauli) of Tanahun district, Gandaki Province of Nepal.
This municipality is surrounded by Bhanu Municipality and Bandipur Gaupalika in the east, Myagde Rural Municipality, and Shuklagandaki Municipality in the west, Lamjung and Kaski district in the North, and Rishing Rural Municipality and Devghat Rural Municipality in the south.
The total area of this municipality is 248.00 sq km and has been divided into 14 wounds (235 tolls till 2075). This municipality is situated minimum 280 m and 1220m at the height of the level from the sea level. The minimum temperature from 8.40 Celsius to maximum 37.00 Celsius as well as the annual rainfall of 6060.6 mm.
