Overview
Tripurasundari Municipality (त्रिपुरासुन्दरी नगरपालिका) was established in 2017 (2073 BS) as a local government (self-government) of Nepal. Tripurasundari Nagarpalika (Municipality) is an urban municipality and headquarter is located in Tripurakot, Dolpa District, Karnali Province of Nepal. The total area of the Tripurasundari Municipality is 393.54 square kilometers (151.95 sq mi) and the total population of this municipality as of 2011 (2068 BS) Nepal census is 10,104 individuals. This municipality is divided into total 11 wards.
Tripurasundari Municipality was incorporated on 10 March 2017 (Falgun 27, 2073 BS) fulfilling the requirement of the new Constitution of Nepal 2015 (2072 BS). Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) replaced all old VDCs and Municipalities into 753 new local level bodies. Tripurakot, Pahada, Sunhu, Lhan, and Likhu Village development committees (VDCs) were incorporated to form this new municipality.
Tripurasundari municipality is surrounded by She Phoksundo Rural Municipality on the north, West Rukum district on the south, Manang District on the south and Thuli Bheri Municipality on the East part of Dolpa district.
