Overview
Thakre Rural Municipality (Nepali: थाक्रे गाउपालिका) was incorporated in 2017 (2073 BS) as a local government of Nepal. The headquarters of Thakre Gaupalika is located in Mahadevbeshi, Dhading district of Nepal. It was formed by merging four VDCs namely Tasarphu, Thakre, Bhumesthan, Kebalpur, Goganpani, and Bagmati (Ward No. 5,6,7,8). Currently, it has divided into 11 wards. The population of this rural municipality is 32,914 according to the data collected on Nepalese local elections, 2017.

North: Galchhi Rural Municipality and Nuwakot District
South: Makawanpur District
