Sindhu Bikash Bank Limited (SBBL) was established in 2010 AD (2067 BS) as a first development bank opened at Sindhupalchok district of Nepal. SBBL bank has licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank (Central Bank of Nepal) & running under the company act & Bank & Financial Institution Act of Nepal. SBBL was established with 184 numbers of valued promoter shareholders and the members of promoter shareholders are increasing after trading of Share. The objective of the founder was essential to promote banking habit & entrepreneurship among the community of Kavrepalanchok Sindhupalchok, and the Dolakha district of Nepal.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all of you here on the occasion of the Sindhu Bikash Bank Limited establishing a head office at Barhabise in Sindhupalchok district. Due to the geographical difficulty of being a mountainous district, there is a considerable investment opportunity in this district, where the banks and financial institutions are feeling overwhelmed.
Since the vast neighboring country, which is leading to economic development, is a border district with China, the economic activity here is remarkable and I believe it will increase further in the days to come. In addition, hydropower projects, agriculture, tourism, and other sectors are equally abundant. Despite this, the residents of the district have to travel to the nearest neighboring district for banking services. Therefore, the Sindhu Bikas Bank has been established as per the wish.
Due to modern technology, the services provided by banks and financial institutions are increasing day by day. The Development Bank also aims to serve its customers through a hassle-free process. Within a short time, we have opened branches in Melamchi, Khadichaur, and Banepa. Various banking services will be provided under e-banking until the source is provided. Credit will be provided to small enterprises opened in rural areas. Similarly, depositors will be benefited from higher interest rates towards deposit schemes.
