Overview
Nepal Telecom formally is known as Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (Nepali: नेपाल दूरसञ्चार कम्पनी लिमिटेड) is publicly owning telecommunication service provider in Nepal with 51.49 percent of the government shares. Nepal Telecom was a dominated until 2003 before entering United Telecom Limited (UTL). The central office of NTC is located at Bhadrakali Plaza, Kathmandu, Nepal. It has been providing services through 184 branches, exchanges and other locations within the country.
Nepal Telecom is the one and only provider of fixed-line, leased-line and ISDN services in Nepal. With around six thousand employees, NTC is one of the largest corporations of Nepal. There are more than 10 million users of Nepal Telecom services including all those of GSM mobile, fixed landline, CDMA and internet service (ADSL). In 2017, Nepal Telecom started 4G LTE Service as a first 4G LTE service provider in Nepal.
Nepal Telecom has been offering various (personal and corporate) services including 3G, HSDPA, 4G LTE, ADSL, Basic Telephony, CDMA EV-DO, CDMA Network as SkyPhone, Digital Data Network (DDN), Email, Fiber to the Home, GPRS Service, GSM Cellular Telephony, Intelligent Network, Internet Leased Line, ISDN, Lease Line Service, MMS, MPOS, Payphone, Voice Mail, Wi-Fi Hotspot, WiMAX and Wireless Loop Link.
