Overview
Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (NNJS) was established in 1978 as a National Society for Comprehensive Eye Care under the Health Co-ordination Committee of the Social Services National Co-ordination Council (CCSSNCC). Later it was strengthened in 1980 as a full-fledged nongovernmental social welfare organization dedicated to facilitating an easy approach to provide all the possible facilities with regard to the treatment of eye patients in Nepal. Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh is located in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, Nepal.
The NNJS expanded co-operation towards the application and fulfillment of National Program and Policies of Government of Nepal aimed at the well being of the eye patients. The NNJS is a non-profit making, a non-governmental, welfare-oriented social organization to represent the Government of Nepal and the Social Welfare Council of Nepal in the sphere of eye care activities.
Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, a leading eye care NGO having 18 eye hospitals, 80 eye care centers. BEH has an excellent international reputation and performs more than 67,000 surgeries annually.
