Overview
Nashong Rural Municipality (नासोँ गाउँपालिका) was established in 2017 (2073 BS) as a local level government of Nepal. The office of the Nashong Rural Municipality (Nashong Gaunpalika) is located in Dharapani, Manag district, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Nashong Gaunpalika is one of the local level government of Nepal formed by the according to Article 2 of the Constitution of Nepal. This Gaunpalika is situated in the lower part of Manang district under the Gandaki region of Nepal. According to the sources, this Gaunpalika was formed by including former three VDCs (Dharapani, Taachavbagar, and Thepche).
The total area of this rural municipality is 709.58 square kilometers and the total population is 1938. The border of this Gaunpalika is lies such as Gorkha district in the East; Narphu Rural Municipality in the West, Neshyang Rural Municipality is north and Tibet region of China and Lumjung district in the South. It is divided into nine wards.
