Modi Rural Municipality (मोदी गाउँपालिका) was established in 2017 (2073 BS) as a local government of Nepal. The headquarters of the Modi Rural Municipality is located in Patichaur, Parbat district, Gandaki Province of Nepal. The Rural Municipality is known as Gaunpalika in the Nepali Language. Modi Rural Municipality belongs to the Parbat district under the Gandaki Province. This Gaunpalika has been established by the decision of Government of Nepal on 10 March 2017 (27th Falgun 2074). It is divided into 8 wards and the total area is 143.5 9 km. According to the National Census 2011 (2068 BS), the total population is 21284 (Men with 9282 and female 12002). This rural municipality is surrounded by Kaski district in the east, Kushma Municipality and Jaljala Rural Municipality in the west, Myagdi and Kaski districts in the north, and Kushma Municipality in the south. The center of this village is located in Patichaur Bazar.
