Overview
Khaniyabas Rural Municipality was incorporated in 2017 as a local government of Nepal. (Nepali: Khaniyabas is a Gaupalika (Nepali: गाउपालिका; Gaupalika) and its headquarters is located in Darkha, Dhading. The local body was formed by merging 3 VDCs namely Darkha, Jharlang, and Satyadevi. The total population of the rural municipality is 12749 according to the data collected on Nepalese local elections, 2017.
East: Nuwakot District and Rasuwa District
West: Ganga Jamuna Rural Municipality and Ruby Valley Rural Municipality
North: Ruby Valley Rural Municipality
South: Netrawati Rural Municipality and Nuwakot District
