Overview
Kathmandu Valley Development Authority (KVDA) was established in 2012 AD (2069 BS) under the “Kathmandu Valley Development Authority Act 2045”. KVDA officially initiated its activities from 27th April 2012 AD (15th Baisakh 2069 BS), with a key mandate to prepare and implement an integrated physical development plan for Kathmandu Valley. KVDA encompasses 5 (five) municipalities and Rural Municipalities with an estimated permanent population of 3 million and a floating population of another 2.5 million.
