Overview
Jaimini Municipality (जैमिनी नगरपालिका, बाग्लुङ) was established in 2017 (Falgun 27, 2073 BS) as a local government of Nepal. The headquarters of the Galkot Nagarpalika is located in Kusmishera, Baglung, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Jaimini is an urban municipality and also known as Nagarpalika in the Nepali Language. Jaimini is an important area of natural and tourism approach.
Jaimini Municipality is surrounded by Parbat district on the East, Galkot Municipality and Bareng Rural Municipality on the West, Kathekhola Rural Municipality and Baglung Municipality on the North and Gulmi and Parbat district on the South.
The total area of the Jaimini Municipality is 118.71 km2 (45.8 sq mi) and the total population of the municipality is according to 2011 (2068 BS) Nepal census is 31,430 individual. The density of this rural municipality is 264.8/km2 (685.7/sq mi). This rural municipality is divided into 10 wards. The elevation of this rural municipality is 1420.98 meters (4662 feet) altitude from sea level.
Kusmishera, Dameka, Sarkuwa, Binamare, Arjewa, Jaidi, Chhisti, Paiyunthanthap, Rangkhani Village Development committees (VDCs) were incorporated to form Jaimini Municipality. This urban Municipality came into existence on 10 March 2017.
