Overview
Galchhi Rural Municipality was incorporated in 2017 as a local government of Nepal. Its headquarters is located in Baireni, Dhading district of Nepal. Galchhi Gaupalika was formed by merging three VDCs namely Kalleri, Baireni, and Goganpani (Ward No. 1,2,3,9). Currently, it is divided into 8 wards. The total population of the rural municipality is 27784 according to the data collected on local elections, 2017.

East: Thakre Rural Municipality and Nuwakot District
West: Gajuri Rural Municipality and Siddhalek Rural Municipality
North: Niklantha Municipality and Nuwakot District
South: Gajuri Rural Municipality, Thakre Rural Municipality, and Makawanpur District
