Overview
Dalome Rural municipality (दालोमे गाउँपालिका) was established in 2017 (2073 BS) as a local government of Nepal. Dalome Gaunpalika is a situated in Charang, Mustang District, Gandaki Province of Nepal. This rural municipality is situated on the northern part of the Mustang, surrounded by Lomanthang Gaunpalika on the north, Barhagaun Muktichhetra Gaunpalika on the south, Manang District on the south-east and Dolpa District on the west, the north-eastern border of this rural municipality touches border with Tibet of China.
The total area of this rural municipality is 1,344 square kilometers (519 sq mi) and the total population of this rural municipality according to 2011 (2068 BS) Nepal census is 1423. This rural municipality is divided into 5 wards. The admin center of the rural municipality is located at Charang.
The former Surkhang, Charang, and Dhami Village development committees (VDC) were incorporated while established Dalome rural municipality. This rural municipality came into existence on 10 March 2017, fulfilling the requirement of the new Constitution of Nepal 2015, Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA, Nepal) replaced all old VDCs and Municipalities into 753 new local level bodies.
