Overview
Chumnubri Rural Municipality (चुमनुव्री गाउँपालिका, गोरखा) was established in 2017 (2073 BS) as a local government of Nepal. The headquarters of this Gaupalika is located in Sirdibas, Gorkha district, Gandaki Province of Nepal. Chumnubri is a rural municipality and also known as Gaupalika in the Nepali Language. Chumnubri is the northern part of Gorkha district.
Chumnubri Rural Municipality is surrounded by China on the East, Manang and Lamjung Districts on the West, China on the North and Ajirkot, Barpak Sulikot, and Dharche Municipalities on the South.
The total area of this Municipality is 1648 km2. The total population of the municipality is according to 2011 (2068 BS) Nepal census is 6923. The density of this rural municipality is 4.2/km2 (10.9/sq mi). This Rural Municipality municipality is divided into 7 wards in which 6 wards touches the China (Tibet) border.
Former 7 village development committee (Samagau, Lho, Prok, Bihi, Chumchet, Chhekampar, and Sirdibas combined to make this Gaupalika (Rural Municipality). This urban Municipality came into existence in 2017 (2073 BS).
