Overview
Chhedagad Municipality, Jajarkot (छेडागाड नगरपालिका, जाजरकोट) was established in 2017 (Falgun 27, 2073 BS) as a local government of Nepal. The headquarters of the Chhedagad Nagarpalika is located in Karkigaun, Jajarkot district, Karnali Province of Nepal. Chhedagad is an urban municipality and also known as Nagarpalika in the Nepali Language. Nalgaad Municipality is surrounded by East Bheri Municipality on the East, Dailekh district on the West, Junichande Rural Municipality on the North and Kuse Rural Municipality on the South.
The total area of the Chedagad Municipality is 284.20 km2 (109.73 sq mi) and the total population of the municipality is according to 2011 (2068 BS) Nepal census is 35,295 individual. The density of this rural municipality is 120/km2 (320/sq mi). This rural municipality is divided into 13 wards. The elevation of this rural municipality is 1560 meters / 5118.11 feet.
Salma, Dasera, Suwanauli, Pajaru, Jhapra and Karkigaun Village development committees (VDCs) were incorporated to form Chhedagad Nagarpalika. This urban Municipality came into existence on 10 March 2017.
